House style refer in RV
Does anyone have a house style refrigerator in their RV and using an inverter with extra batteries? If so how long a run time can you get without running a generator or plugging in to AC. Do you use the automatic ice maker when not hooked up.

I read an article today about "all electric" RV's. Gone is the propane and instead an induction stove top, electric water heater, house style refrigerator and a diesel burner furnace along with extra batteries to power things. Camping is changing..

I have a friend with this deal, a home refrigerator in a toyhauler. He has two T105 Trojans and tells me he can go 12 hours on the batteries. I am pushing him to add solar and more battery, his call. We boondock a lot and I can't see myself ever going this route. I like the option of propane.

Wow 12 hours is not very long and it would be even less if it's cold outside and you have to run the furnace, even if it was a diesel burner the fan still needs 12 volts to turn. I mostly carry a third 30lb tank as getting a 30lbder refilled is not always easy, some towns have banned refilling propane tanks within town limits and only sell prefilled 20lbers.
