Steering box leak
Well I was just under the truck and I see that I have a good leak out of the shaft at the bottom of the steering box. My question is can I re-seal it or better of just getting a new box, and if a new box what is the best, most cost effective box to put in. Thanks

Mostlikely you have worn out the bushing that shaft rides one, pretty common on dodges, if the bushing is worn out the box will have to be replaced or you'll just take out new seals. To check to see if the bushing is worn just have someone crank the steering wheel hard back and forth with the engine off and watch the bottom of that shaft if it moves the bushing is shoot. A DSS will help save a new box from wearing out, so i'd recomend one, it'll also get rid of some of the wander dodges are famous for.

If that doesn't get rid of your wander check your trac bar, they can cause some really bad wonder. Also check the steering columns lower bushing, It can cuase wonder. I had my lower bushing start to clunk at odd times. I put in the rock solid steering bushing and now my truck drives better than a chev.
