Routing A-pillar gauge wiring?

I'm going to be installing some new gauges this week and I was wondering how you Guys ran the wiring through the firewall. Do you drill a new hole? If so, were's the best place? Or do you use the factory loom holes and run them through with the rest of the harness? Thanks

On the auto trucks you can use the hole for the clutch cylinder but on the manual you will have to drill a new hole and install a rubber gromet. You may also be able to use a tool that punched a round hole in an existing gromet. You don't want to just poke a hole in an existing gromet because it will cause tearing. Remove your headlight switch and you be able to thread the wiring and tubing easily from the a pillar to the underside of the dash and out the firewall. I suggest using plastic split loom for 100% of the length of the runs. You can get it at Harbor Frieght for a buck or two and it looks factory. I run boost, pyro and electric fuel pressure gauges. My Stewart Warner Fuel pressure gauge is a sweet set up. I have senders pre and post filter with Geno's tapped banjo bolts. On the A pillar I have a double pole switch and I can switch back and forth to check for plugged fuel filters. If you want pics or diagrams pm me.

As rockwithjason said, you can use the clutch cylinder mounting, if you have an auto. I have several going thru there, and will be adding more when I get the pyro/boost gauge.

There are some rubber grommets in firewall just make a cut in them and pull wire's through grommets are nearby master cylinder it rains a ton where I live so I always use a little silicone sealant around wires when I'm done
