Well the guy that sells this kit says that there is probly some broken clips in my upper column?

I think there is something broken where the column goes though the firewall. I haven't looked at mine yet to see what it could be. Just thinking.

I definitly see where the product adresses the lower bearing on manual columns seems like a waste for auot columns, I am still trying to figure out how tabs in the top of the column are supposed to translate to that kind deflection or "play" in the lower bearing area

This product does NOT (NOT!!!) solve the problems that the steering shaft upgrade fixes, or the problem that the steering brace fixes. What it WILL fix is the clunk in the steering column from a worn out stock bushing.
I've done the steering shaft (Borgeson) and the DSS sector shaft brace. Both of the upgrades helped. I believe all three fixes shold be done as with just the two combined fixes, my truck steers way more precise than stock. This lower column bearing fix is next on my list.

Anyone try to upgrade the y style steering to the t style on a 94-98 years. And what all did it take if anyone has done it.

Yep, just bolt on the 98-99 T style factory stuff.

You have to figure out a steering stabilizer mount, but that's really the only problem and that is simple.
