Mach 1.6's or Smarty.. Or both?

Hey guys.
To start off, A good set if sticks and/or Smarty will actually lower egt's over all.. is that right?

Second, how much fuel/power can a stock injector handle?

After races the other night, my buddy let me throw on his Smarty and we cruised down the road a few times tryin it out just 0-60 bursts.
After playin around a bit I decided I liked juice on 3 and 4 with smarty on 8.
Kept temps low enough and I could really feel the peddle dif.
It felt as if the juice was on 5 with some 50 hp sticks, but without the temps to hurt it.

I recently made my mind up on wanting the 1.6's for the next upgrade, but really like the smarty for its code scaning and responsivness. This is kinda where my second question above comes into play.

What it comes down too is..
Do you guys think it would be a good set up to have the Juice, 1.6's and Smarty all on??

Smarty would be mostly for racin in which id prob run Juice on 3 or 4 and Smarty on 8. Around town itd just be juice and 1.6's. Im just wonderin if the 1.6's AND Smarty, with the juice, will put me over the edge with egt's.

Fyi, My 1/4 high temps with the new hybrid were 1400 spike, drop -1370* on 5x5. 1510 spike, drop to about 1480* on 6x5. Obviously you could see I wanna drop then temps but still get more power as there is more room for fuel IMO.. smoke totally clears out befor the 330' mark.

TIA, Ian

Your EGTs will be hotter with bigger injectors, no matter how efficient the spray pattern. The Smarty probably wouldn't lower your EGTs either. On a stock truck it will tend to lower EGT a small amount because of the timing advance it provides. However, I think the box you have already provides timing advance, so you wouldn't want to use any of the Smarty settings that give timing advance which means you most likely wouldn't see any EGT reduction at all with the Smarty.

I think you could do the Smarty alone without any significant impact to your EGTs, but the injectors are another story. I think you would want to go to a lower setting on the Juice for the short term, and plan for a bigger turbo.

Midnite good call. I forgot that it'd be the timing stages on the smarty that would do anything to egts but since id be using the juice for timing, i wouldnt really see any lower. I do plan on more air. Id love to throw a s400 or HT3B under my hybrid.

Mike I had a feeling you might throw something in like that haha. Only thing is I wanna be able to turn power way down for plowin and what not. AND I think if I did do mach 4's then Id need more air Now and the compound Idea isnt for a year or two down the road.

I wont see over 1300* with the juice on 3 right now. And if F1's are as good as ive read for temps, and the Smarty wouldnt make much of a dif on temps either, I could prob pull off the juice on low, Smarty on mid, and 1.6's all for racin? I that the general thought?

Like I said, smarty would only be on for racin. Around town and towin would just be the Juice and 1.6's.

I played with my friends Smarty some more today. Took it out too the track and got a few runs in with it stacked.
Yea I like the pedal response with it too thats for sure. But over all it didnt seem to make much of a dif. My runs were juice on 5, Smarty on 4 for the 14.9 then juice on 5, Smarty on 8 for a 15.1 (didnt launch hard enough, But still had the jump on a wrx till the 1000 ft mark! )

I think I could have had a much better first run but the track was slick and I broke loose when I shifted into 2nd. I think that must be why my time was faster, but my mph was slower. Good launch, Tires slipped, caught and took off for a killer time but not able to gain lost speed back.

It did however seem to make a slight egt dif. My previous temps are in post #1. Today.. First run J-5, S-4 1427 spike, drop to 1380, second run J-5, S-8 1390 spike, droped to 1360. I thought this a little strage since I was still using the timing from the Juice and only fuel from Smarty. and on top of that it was 20* hotter today then the temps from post 1, and out side temp only dropped 3* between first and second run today. I wont complain about lower egt's. Just a little curious though, same timing, yet lower egt with more fuel AND turbo at same top lbs both runs.

The conclusion I think Ive come too is that I will still be goin with Mach 1.6's for the next mod. Depending on 1/4 mile time and egt's after that, I'll see about playin around with smarty some more.

Oh one other thing. I threw the code p0602. Said something about fuel calibration. I accidently deleated it bofor catching all it said. Anyone know this code? The code sheet I have says p0602 is 'Control module not programmed' but its a very vague list.
Any info is much appreciated.
