locked recovery mode
hey guys. i recently borrowed a Superchips Max Micro Tuner from a buddy and hooked it into my pickup and stacked it with my quadzilla. She gained some serious power and man oh man did she billow out the smoke.
Well i tried it on my other buddies 02 Cummins. its identical to mine minus the quadzilla and it worked great. we put it back on mine and it was just fine. well my other buddy with a 98.5 asked if we could put it on his. so i deprogramed mine and put it on his. right off the bat it said vehicle has been returned to stock settings. it never had this tuner on it before. i plugged it back in and it said that the vehicle is in locked recovery mode. he took it to the dealership and they said the ECM is fried. i want to continue usin this programmer. would it do this to my pickup too? any ideas? thanks
