FASS 150gph HPFP low pressure

Hey I have one of the HPFP (just pump, no filters) FASS systems on my truck that I installed about a year or so ago. It is the 150gph unit and I was wondering what the output pressure for these units are supposed to range around. I change my stock fuel filter every oil change (200hrs) and that is the only filter I have on the system, save an inline screen filter before the pump right out of the tank.

When I installed the system it would only put out 14 psi at idle, which I thought was low, but it wouldn't drop pressure below 12psi at WFO. Now I can pull it down to 6-7psi at WFO and it idles at about 12-13psi. I don't have a draw straw and think that may help but are there any adjustments to the pump that I can make to eek out a hair more? Or are these ranges acceptable. I'm not quite comfortable with 6-7psi on my VP44, would like to see 12psi WFO. Thanks in advance

I dont know what they should run but i have the same pump and mine started out at 18-19 idle and i could suck it down to 14-15. Now it runs 16 idle and i can get it to maybe 12 at full tilt. not sure if that helps

Are you sure that the weep hole in the pump is facing down? Seen many a HPFP burn up because of this.

yeah the weep hole is facing down. I used the supplied 3/8th inch fuel line all the way to the filter also, not sure if thats what you guys are using also. Well what the heck? would the 95gph pump put out less pressure and maybe they sent me the 95 instead of the 150? It has never put out anywhere close to 18 or 19psi. Where are you guys taking your pressure? mine is from the test port on the top of my filter canister, post filter.

Do you guys have a draw straw or just the factory pickup?
