Aftermarket air Intake = lower egt's?
I'm looking into getting an air intake for my truck. I've read lots about them and not sure which one I'm going to get. My question is... Does an aftermarket air intake cool your egt's? My egt's still get hot in a 1/4 mile run. I could easily hit 1600*. My edge is set to alarm at 1350*. Thanks!

Wow I cant believe your runnin a stock intake with your mods.
These trucks need air! Intake and exhaust go hand in hand.
Alot are kinda spendy, but you could do a BHAF for cheap. Do a search on BHAF intakes and youll find grip loads.
And yea not only will it sound better, Turbo whistle especially, but Im sure youll see a little lower temps too.

The BHAF looks cheap to do. But my concern is that it will be pulling hot air form under the hood, and not make a difference on the egt's. I will give it a try. I would like to hear the turbo a little more. Would it help to change the pipe where the air enters the engine? Something with a bigger radius? Im thinking about trying to make one. Thanks again.
