i did NOT pay $89.87 for flowers for Valentines....
so i called mama and got her approval to NOT get her flowers this time around.
that was for 6 carnations, and 6 roses delivered.
my goodness. that's a Hundred Dollars.
she said just to give her the Hundred Dollars, and she will buy something that won't die and get thrown in the trash.
what are you gonna do about flowers, if they want that much?

I've never done flowers/jewerly and never will. My wife just knows that and doesn't expect any different so I'll probably just buy her something for my truck and take her out to eat.

Thats MR Hoss to you buddy!
I'm thinking of buying my wife some ammo for my new Colt 6920LE carbine that I haven't had the time to go shoot yet. I'm sure she'll be VERY grateful.

Flowers, do you pass a cemetery on the way home?
Free advice from a sexy senior that has been around the block a few times. Do not by kitchen or house hold appliances. This is a day for you and your main squeeze. Dinner out, or you fix a special dinner for the 2 of you. A nice card with your thoughts, candy can be good.
It is about the two of you, not about things. Just my .02

Valentine's Day is about RELATIONSHIPS between two people. So, gifts should be oriented around how you FELL about the other person. Be IMAGINITIVE fellas, courting stuff, heartfelt stuff - maybe you should fantasize your wives with truck emblems and engraciate your girlfriend/wife accordingly?? Got to be some kind of parallel, you wax your truck, detail your truck, etc - so how about a day for your wife/girlfriend at a local spa to detail her body?? Find one that offers 'couples' packages and both of you go together for a day?? See, I know you guys could use a little bodywork yourselves!!! HA HA HA!!! Get out of that standard box of chocolates and flowers, BORING.

I tried to tell her that she didn't need anything, that my never-ending love was enough of a gift......................................she don't not think that was funny or romantic.
Pajama-gram instead.

I have sent my wife Roses at her work for the last 12 years, since we met.
This year because of all the bad weather I asked her if she wanted Roses or a new set of WeatherTech Floor liners for Valentines Days. Being the practical girl she is, she opted for the Floor liners.
I asked if she was sure, because when all her friends told her what great gifts they got. I didn't want her feeling left out and me being of her "LIST".
She said she really wanted the Floor Mats. So time will tell!!

she opted for parts for her motorcycle.
i fixed a GOOD supper last nite:
grilled pork chops,
corn
green beans,
toast.
it was pretty good.
i don't think she appreciated it. so i took her to McD's for breakfast this morning.
the "Deluxe Platter" with 2 sodas is $6.85, and that's plenty of food for both of us.
off to ebay to order parts for her bike.....
