Greetings, fellow DTRonians... Hope everyone is well. Decent Sunday afternoon here in the far east, Japan is still the same way I left it... Been here for two months, nothing crazy to report. Looks like Korea is in my future soon, no more cushy Okinawa.

I made an normal pot of joe if you don't want to chance the applejack Claude put out. Mine will just give you honest heart palpitations...

Stay strong...

mad

Nice morning dawning. Got a little get-together later. Wife made chili and enchiladas. Think I'll put some venison on the grill. Stop on by!

Good morning. Boy, the break room really smells strange today. Just the fumes alone may cause my walk to become somewhat erratic.

Hey mad, nice of you to grace us with your presence. Glad to hear that things are going well for you.

Claude, no insult intended, but if you don't mind, will try mad's concoction instead of that stuff you brewed up.

Sherod, it's too early for chili and enchiladas, but may stop by later and try some - if there is any left. You-know-who could come in and scoff the lot.

Off to get my day started. Ciao.

I am steering away from the Apple Jack and coffee. That stuff is too strong for me, I am looking for some more of that asphalt tea...

Woke up to a few inches of snow on the old Dodge this morning.
Time to pull the 1st gens off the road to save them from the salty roads.
Looks like it is time to button up the last few outdoor pre winter chores before a winter full of spending my free time burning firewood and working on my projects in the shop.

I have a question for you folks.
My wife will be in NY NY in early November. We feel its prudent to have an escape plan just in case things go squirrely. Are any of you near the big Apple?

Lol, I'm gracing myself with your presence! Been a stranger way too long, I needed to check up on everyone. I've just started getting back on here with any regularity since I've been deployed. That's going to change in about a week, tho :/

Hi Mark.

Back to shoving my 400 lb plus work bench around.

If it was me, knowing that you can't legally carry a gun there, I'd find safe area (not like these little whiner's safe places) that she could go to until the madness calmed down. Probably not going to get out of the area if all hell breaks loose, so the next best thing is shelter in place.

Hi Scotty!

Did you ever get your arm fixed? Gonna break it again, huh?

Yes arm and pec repaired.
Up for a knee scope after 14 yrs of good service. Dr expected to have to scope me three to five years after last one. Just a clean out.

How's your carcass holding up?

I'm holding up pretty good, even with the way the Corps is treating me... frozen wastelands, desert wastelands, jungle wastelands... cold food, cold coffee, hot water. Just how I like it!

Had the plan of tearing off damaged siding and replacing it. Need to save a few pieces. Just not warm enough today to work it easily. It won't be in the sun until late this afternoon. Guess it will wait until next Friday when I am off the following day. 0230 getup in the morning so no working late!

It WAS a plan though!

See ya!
