What to do with extra parts...LOL
I bought 3 non-op CTD trucks,
fixed one> 11' flat bed, 5 speed> 92 Dually
other one is a 92 5 speed, flat bed- need to re-seal the pump
The last one the body was rough
so parted it out
Still had the 89 engine and a trans out of an airport tug.
When I pulled the 540 out of the Satellite (engine set back 12")
looked like a Cummins would fit
So, why not...lol

Thanks,
I used the trans mount to locate the engine
had to remove the P/S and vacuum pump
to clear the Steering box
even used the CTD radiator, fan and shroud
I'm new to moding diesels for power
I have 4.10 and 3.55 gears and a 518 if needed
has 4.56 Dana 60 with 31 x 14 - 15
I'm going to put a HE351CW on
have done all the free mods
also have 60 lbs springs (12)
3800 gov spring
need to buy a fuel pin
port the head
it will be spring until, i can work on it
I only have room for 1 project at a time
the shop is a section of DC-10>>>lol
28' x 40'
presently that is the Rampage
It was my DD, >> parts chaser
until the fuel tank started leaking, then noticed that the uni body was splitting behind the cab
The only right way to fix / save it was to put a tube chassis under it, add the 540
working on the interior sheet metal

The amount of time and money spent shows in each project. You blended both of my passions. Cool old Mopar iron and Cummins. Your fabrications skills are only overshadowed by your vision. Way cool man, way cool!

I am surprised it took so long for someone else to comment!
The stuff going on in that airplane hanger is COOL.

Holy Schnikies Dragin!!! Just keep on posting pics of your projects!! That rampage is killer. I'd love more info on that and the Satellite. Is there a build thread somewhere on the Rampage? What's your plans for the Satellite? Going to run it on the 1/4? Don't know if you're a roadkill fan, But the satellite would fit right in on one of thier cruises/runs...
Awesome work man, keep it up

Thanks everyone for the comments
been busy with projects
living in the shop
I'll try to keep to the short version
kerry.king
had to kick the Rampage out
more on that later
Opening day was coming close
"My anger management class"> Drag Racing
only car close to running was the 70 Dart Custom -- "more door"
Since I was told not to drive the Dart on the street
Cause it sets off alarms, everywhere it goes....lol
I was okay with that, cause, I only got a 5 gallon fuel cell
I burn 1 gallon @ 1/8 mile.....lol >>> E 85
was a 446 small block 3500/ 4.10 / 275 x 60 - 15
recently swapped to
449 /indy heads / 4500 / 4.56/ / 315-60 x 15 MT pro
welded up the exhaust ports/ moved them
Haven't gotten much testing done on that combo yet
while at the track testing
a few asked about "Where Is the "Shine Runner"
Answer:
I took the 540 out to put in the 72 Dart
I thought about the 21 years
The Satellite has been in my care.
thought about All the different engines
small and big block strokers
broke trans, rearends, drive shafts
after 2nd time out, broke rear
540 / 4500, transbrake
time for a change
I got interested
in the Satellite and installing the Cummins and drive train
making custom solid mounts, linkage, etc.
even using the 1410 joints .
going soon to make some base runs
then
install 60 lbs springs
3800 governor
I did install an electric pump @12psi to feed the injection pump
also skipped a tooth,
while doing the KDP

staying on topic ...lol
Parts from the Satellite,540 went into the next project
72 Dart Swinger
The 518 Transmission, is from the car hauler
Back to my present project
gathering up parts
Putting the 72 back together
easier to show pic, then me type
This is the 72 swinger I'm presently busy with>>> need a street car.
floors, truck, frame connectors, wheel tubs, clearance for 518 trans
540/ 518
3.73 True trak / 325-50 x 15
I want it to look nice, BUT, I want to hear it run>>> Motivational...lol

Then the Car Hauler (the other 4 door) is next
just needs wiring / paint
Converted to CTD / 5-speed / 3.07 rear gear
There was only one correct way to repair the rust issues
in the 73 floor
and I wanted to take the easy way out of trying to get all the fire wall mods, dash pad etc. to fit the 73 cab
So, I married a 92 Club Cab to the rear section of the 73 Crew Cab
<a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii313/draginmopars/cummins/010-2_zpsdfovejs0.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 010-2_zpsdfovejs0.jpg"/></a>

I grafted the 73 round headlights into the 92 intercooler radiator support
still using the 73 grill / fenders.
Tail light assemblys will come from my 73 Cuda
to keep the 73 theme on the out side
92 on the inside
ps, pb,pdl, a/c, cruise, tilt
if I only had a bigger shop...lol

here's the scoop on the Rampage
put the 540 in,
Then
I had a deal working on a super charger, it fell thru, was only a 4-71
so went back to my original plans
put a 446, lite weight bob weight> alum rods in
changed the converter to match that engine
put new tires on,
Then worked on steering and trans shifter, linkage
next was laying out the interior sheet metal
got the drive shaft enclosed,
while I studied about the sheet metal lay-out, and where to put the fuel cell and pump.
at that stage, need to move the Rampage out
also made a another hood (skin) lower profile
decided to put the 540 in the 72 Dart, So, I have a car to drive on cruises
Will get back on the Rampage SOON

Finally took the Satellite to the track
Never had so much fun
Going so Slow.....lol
It leaves quicker than I thought it would
started at 5 lbs boost
fourth run
finally figured out the lights
and how deep to stage
Now That I got a base # to work with
Time to crank it up...lol
next is Gear change> turn the pump up, gov spring, valve springs
