Isn't a cam swap hard to do?
That fitting you listed in the other thread is what you're after.
$650 is just for the camshaft, don't forget the tappets.
The front end of the truck has to come apart. If it was me, I would also do the oring in the head as well, during the cam swap. Probably also do some leak repair as well. Probably a good day of work, but nothing to difficult. I also suggest degreeing the cam and doing the valve clearance checks. Nothing is worse than doing a cam swap only to smack intake/exhaust valves.
I agree with Tate, probably some of the best money spent. A cam install is easy as pie when the engine is out of the truck. Its abit of fishing if the engine is still installed.
I suggest getting a colt stage 4 or the new hamilton 188/220

I'd say talk to Zach about cam selection. Last I heard, he still recommends the 181/210 for daily drivers and trucks under 4k rpm. The 188/220 spools chargers much easier, but at the price of some efficiency. Thats more geared for a mid 4k top end, which CR's are hard pressed to reach. 181/210 is a drop in cam, but it definitely does not hurt to degree it in.

I wouldn't run the stage 2 cam, without checking valve clearance. Heard a few had valve to piston conflicts.
Jamie, just throwing this out. I have a brand new 2007 CR head, that has orings installed in it. Orings done by passager and I have a colt stage 3 and hamilton 188/220 cam/springs, if you in a hurry. If it was me, I would remove the intake plenum. Dave/Farrell has seen big flow improvements by doing so. Brett will have to chime in, but we are getting the old 12V castings very near flow numbers of a stock 12V hamilton head, with better flow characters than hamiltons under 0.500 lift.
This week we have two twin builds on the go. Let the welding begin.
