The light just came on
I just occurred to me we all spend quite a lot of money BLINDLY changing our fuel filters. A filter could plug in 5 minutes or 5 years depending on how dirty the fuel in your tank is, time or mileage is not the reason to replace a fuel filter. A 2 micron engine filter is $70CD from Cummins now and the rear frame filter about $80-100CD. I'm thinking a fuel pressure gauge would be paid for with just one unnecessary filter change.

I think you're right. The relatively low cost for filters on my 12 valve has always deterred me from going ahead with it, but the theory is definitely sound.
