FCA sues Cummins

(haven't seen this posted on here yet)

I sure hope this isn't the beginning of the end of a happy marriage. Hopefully it's all just "business", nothing personal...

I think this has been coming for awhile. The CEO of FCA, namely, Sergio Marchione, wants to put Fiats' Diesel Engines in the Ram Pickups eventually and the lawsuit will most likely make that happen.

The most recent issue of the "Turbo Diesel Register" has been talking about this issue for awhile now.

Hopefully not a replay of the Ford v. Navistar lawsuit over the six-oh-nos. Of course, that deal ended up in Ford's favor by all accounts (their in-house engine appears to be working out better deal than the IH one). In this case there's no way FCA can do better than Cummins with their own engines. I would hate to see Nissan take over the 6.7 as well....

Sergio better realize we buy these trucks because of the big C under the hood.

He will surely realize it when sales plummet to zilch.
