AS69RC AISIN Transmission
I've heard everything from best transmission to a total piece of junk. Does anyone have one that is deleted that has been trouble free. If I get one, I doubt I will add any power until they have TCM tuning sorted out, but I definitely will delete. RevMax says they are junk and need to be upgraded due to inferior material in some of the hubs.
About ready just to drive a 12v 5-speed forever!

I guess I didn't interject enough sarcasm towards the RevMax statement saying "they are junk".
Of course they're going to say they're junk.....or there'd be no market for aftermarket upgrades for sale.
My AS69RC is at 215,213 miles----and it's not skipped a beat. Regular, routine fluid & filter changes (per the maintenance schedule) and lots of towing have left me with a wonderful ownership experience with my AS69RC (and the entire truck, for that matter.)

I talked to an instructor from the Chrysler training center who specializes in trannya. He told me that the center got their hands on an Aisin from a 2015 that was used for over the road hauling. He said this tranny had almost 500,000 miles and had not had 1 single internal failure. They disassembled the tranny to reverse engineer the internal parts. He said that other than some normal wear, the thing still had plenty of service life left in it. The previous owner changed the fluid and filter every 40k miles without fail. If say this is a good testament to their durability.

That Aisin needs a billet Torque converter like mine does. Had one in my 06
48RE with a valve body. Could not use or need to use Tow Haul mode as the added pressure slammed it when shifting in the Tow Hual mode. Get a better set up when it’s time.
My Aisin has been good. Runs much cooler than the 48RE. Only problem I’ve had is, once and awhile it will miss the shift into third gear, and slam into the lock up mode in 3rd gear. Three times in the two years. Tow Haul off.
Sometimes it’s really slow getting back into first gear as well.
