Trailer Wiring..

Im trying to figure out what wires go to the 7 pin plug for my female trailer plug. There is a seperate bundle of wires after I did my upfitting on the 07 cab and chassis that I have left over, I know this is for the trailer wiring and brake control. Any help would be great, I have no clue what colors do what. I guess worst case, I use the light to figure out each wire but that may take a while. I checked the dodge upfitting guide (pdf) and couldn't find anything.

Always uae a tester to be on the safe side. Most are as followed.
Red-12v hot all time Purple-back ups
Yellow-left turn Big blue-trailer brake
Green-right turn White-ground
Brown-marker kights

Sometimes the brake lights can be black or red. you will almost always have wires left over dont worry about that. If you need a wiring diagram I think I have a copy from a 5500 we put a bed on the other day.

Start here:

http://www.dodge.com/en/business/body_builders_guide/

And click to your truck..

Be sure to read all of the info on circuits min & max load rating

Pg 4 of this link shows pto, trailer and up fitters circuit:

http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/200.../dcdmufwii.pdf

The up fitter circuit can give you more fused power to the truck body and / or trailer if needed, it has a separate fuse block to feed these circuits. It is located on the DS firewall. these are in pdf format so you can save them to your computer
