I'm pretty sure I have an issue with the door switch on the driver's door of my truck. When I open the door the interior lights don't illuminate, and the door locks don't disengage, the way they used to. It started out as an intermittent issue and sometimes the lights and lock disengagement were just delayed. But now they don't work at all. I read on a search that the switch may be a part of the door latch, but no one confirmed this. I sprayed some silicone lubricant into the latch but that hasn't helped any.

Can someone confirm the location of the switch? If it is a part of the door latch, can it be accessed by removing the door panel or does it become more involved than that? Thanks for your replies and suggestions.

Not sure about the location of the switch, but there has been numerous reports of wires breaking between the door and the jamb. Do a search here and you may find the info that you are looking for.
