HYPERTECH computer programmer
Anyone ever used on eof these. Suppossed to give up to 100 HP and an additional 150lbs torque. For a duramax anyway. May not be available for the CTD??
Was wondering if anyone had any experience with one and what they cost?
Thanks

Re:HYPERTECH computer programmer
I looked into this a few months ago and emailed Hypertech as i want to run this or a similar programmer on my truck..they wrote me back saying that the new computer on the 3rd gen is a bear to crack and it will be coming out in the next year or so..that will give me a chance to put a few more miles on my truck to break it in good before i turn up the ponies..i like the idea of custom tuning and codes etc as compared to an under the hood box and cant wait for them to get one on the market

Nice...hopefully it will have a speedometer recalibration feature so we don't have to go to the dealer or use a calibration box if we want to run bigger tires.

Re:HYPERTECH computer programmer
I had one on my 95 Trans-am and it worked pretty well. You can do a lot of custom tuning as far as rev-limiter, shift points, and speedo calibration for different size tires or gears. It didn't give much more power but it was worth it for all the other stuff. They don't make them for our trucks yet.....
