Which Flex Plate???

I have a 04 2500 quad 5.9 HO with a Sun Coast Triple Disc converter and not sure whose flex plate is in there. I started to hear a rattle noise coming form the front of the trans area. After inspection proved a couple of loose bolts on the flex plate and signs of cracking.

Seems this has happen to many others.

I am running the smarty Jr and a full banks system. What is the best flex plate to run with this set up? Anybody with lots of experience please let me know whats the best bang for the buck and the long haul and most import what will work with the Sun coast Set up?. I am going to be doing a lot long distance towing with 5-8000 lb loads.

Thanks,

RamZman

Alot of folks run billit flex plates but I have read they can be hard on input shafts because they don't flex enough. I'm running a double welded where the gear has been cut off one and welded it into another one.

What FastTaco describes is also known as a "laminated" flexplate. I got mine through Suncoast and is doing great with the HP I put through it over the last 50k miles.

I also like BD's billet plate.

Thanks for all the advise.
I went with a Georend billet plate.
Installed it (oh the joy of being over 50 and rolling around on a creeper working on this things) actually it was pretty strait forward job. Was nice with the 5" lift on it. The flexplate fit perfect
Truck is quite again and runs much smoother. I was getting a little shimmy at hiway speeds I thought was tires.
Now that's gone also. Glad I took care of it not long after hearing the rattle in there.
Cheers,
RamZnan
