Exhaust tip install
I'm having a 12" tip installed on the weekend. Should I just slip it over top(it goes from 4- 5"), leave it out a bit further, and weld it at the back, or do you cut off any of the stock tip first??

Well not looking at the truck but from what we know about the MBRP systems that we sell you will probably want to cut some off.
But slip the tip on and stand back to look. I would suggest leaving it out from under the truck some due to that causing some drone noise. It could also help if you pull any trailers, to roll the smoke on out and away, not onto the trailer if under too far.
Just my opinions! Have fun!

When I installed my tip I cut off about 3-4" then slid it over. It isn't noticable from looking into the pipe but gives you the flexibility to slide it in and out once you get used to it.

I just slid it over and pulled it out far enough that you can't see the 4" exhaust. Call me lazy, but I also wanted to get the soot away from the bumper... it does help a bit.
