Try turning your key ON, then OFF, THREE TIMES without actually starting the engine and see if the codes will show up in your dash.

The CEL should not come on for a regen alone.

Without gauges or some type of monitor its hard to tell. Some guys stated that they have noticed a drop in fuel economy when the truck is in regen.

I've also heard and seen the coolant temp gauge go up over 200 which may be an indicator. Really need to get gauges or just get rid of it all together.

2563 may be a new code for the 2009-2010 engines. I will check into that.

Yes, that is right. Some of the late 2009 and new 2010 codes are not on there yet.
