510,000kms on the same water pump, not sure what AF was in there before I switched to Amsoil at 300,000kms.
after removing the water pump it appeared as if it was an o-ring failure(no leaks at tell tail hole) I installed a new pump anyway, I fiqured it was long over due

Mine is sitting at the dealer as I am typing. 78,000 miles. No leaks or anything. Drive to the store, and when i came out, a puddle of coolant. Drove home and took a look. Sure enough it was the pump. Waiting on a pressure test this morning and the rep. is suppose to call. Should be covered under warranty. Only have 4 months to go.

I have 322,600 on my truck and have been through 4 pumps. The oem failed @220k and replaced with one from car-quest. This one failed @ 30k and they replaced it. That one lasted 71,870 and they replaced it again. I'm hoping to get @60 or 70k out of this one.

First one failed at 85,000. Had new pump replaced by dealer. Dealer flushed and refilled system and I assume they would use HOAT formula coolant. Dealer pump failed at 160,000 miles. I Replaced the dealer pump with the help of a friend that is a mechanic at a national service center. We used a Napa pump and he used the "mixes with anything" coolant to replace what was lost during the change. We did not flush the system or change coolants. I realize now this was not a good plan. Now, the Napa has failed at 245,000. Replacing it with another Napa ($50) this weekend. I am flushing the system and replacing with Zerex HOAT coolant.

Pump life
Had 76K and pump started to leak.Luckily it was 1 month BEFORE my warranty expired and dealer replaced pump[was not happy to have to do it under warranty].I also have a coolant filter so I have not changed my coolant yet.

Not sure why the dealer would be unhappy. It's not like it's a costly part NOR is it labor intensive. Probably one of the least expensive things to do to a Cummins.
