New fan clutch not working?
Hi so I got a 06 5.9 CTD, automatic with 130k I just installed a new aftermarket fan clutch and radiator do to the fan eating the wires. Everything went smooth checked fusses and wiring everything looks great I can't get it to come on. Turned on AC got temps over 200 and it still won't turn on. Anybody had this problem? Know a solution? I have read many posts about fan clutches but nothing has steered me in a direction I did not already try!!! Thanks in advance for any help.

Probably 7 or 8 years ago I had to replace my fan clutch. Trying to live up to my cheap moniker I put in an aftermarket (cheap and or cheaper) fc. I ran it for about 2 or 3 months and it just didn't work right. Would turn on the fan sometimes for no reason. Sent it back. Went and bought a mopar fan haven't had an issue. A fluke with the aftermarket fc who knows....
