Wait to start light dosen't seem to be working

Wait to start light dosen't seem to be working

The past couple days when i turn the key i haven't been getting the light....Its been real hot though, so i thought maybe it dosen't come on at a certain temp.

The light/heaters won't come on till it's below 50°F. I don't even look to see if it's coming on from April till Oct, just start it up.

It should come on for a brief second when all the other lights come on. If it doesn't then I would guess you have a problem. Try it later in the night when its colder and see or early in the morning on one of these cooler summer nights up here!

You could also hold down the trip odometer reset button while turning on key. All of the idiot lights and gauges go thru a diagnostic test. All lights light up and all gauges go through their ranges. At least on my 02 this works, may not on older models.

yeah thats what i thought and its not. I will have to give what scuzman said a try. It sounds like the relay is kicking on for it though

LIGHT

ITS 90 DEGREES HERE FOR AT LEAST A WEEK NOW AND MY LIGHT STILL COMES ON FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS OR SO.

yeah i think it may be the actual bulb as i did the diagnostic test, which is pretty cool, and the light didn't come on

bulb

I tested mine this morning, light does come on for a few secounds along with the water in fuel light, bulb check test.
