Hey Guy's I am trying to make an injector puller that one of the Guy's so cleverly posted a while back and I need to know what the wheel stud Or injector thread is? I typically have used a wheel lug to assist me with injector changes but this time I want to avoid collateral damages to any of the lines.

If you're having a problem damaging the lines it indicates to me you aren't disconnecting the lines from both ends and lifting them totally out of the way.

Bending the lines out of the way is huge no-no.

The lines are hardened steel and are very prone to cracking or kinking even with slight bending.
Same applies to the small return line, it should be removed completely.

Well Bill it looks like you caught me Lol. I know it's a NO No but my extra time that I have is basically Ni ll and the time I spend with my three sons is a one shot deal..............sooooooooooo if I kink bend or crack I will be replacing,been there already too.....I have replaced injectors several times on the old girl and never had a problem other than getting careless with the pry bar that one time. And yes it cost me.If I was doing this on another Guy's truck all the lines would be removed and the injectors installed correctly.

Be careful
Sometimes bending damage is hard to diagnose.
I've seen it were only one line was partially kinked and starved the cylinder of fuel only under load. Caused a miss.
It took sending the injection pump off to be rebuilt ($$$) to find out it wasn't the problem.
