reverse light switch location ?
Hey all Redz here,
looking to replace my reverse switch on my tranny, can any one tell me where abouts on the tranny (top-side-bott) I can find it? any tricks?/treats?

reverse LIght ??????????????? no one ???????????
How can nobody know this one ?! somebody ?? OK how about the beginning rev lights stoped working, fues is good ,one extra light pigtailed up to the 7 pin----NO LIGHTS---- so must be the reverse light switch ,that is located exactly_____ _____ _______ ______ _ on the 5 speed tranny.

hay redz, the reverse switch on the nv4500 is located on driverside very top of tranny. You will NOT be able ot see it, I takes a long socket I forget the size (maybe 19mm deep socket) You can buy for $12 at http://quad4x4.com/ I spent $50 at napa. Make sure your check your fuse. good luck

Thanks for putting the location of this. I was looking for it and could not find it as well. Man they could have made it a little easier to get to.

It's the only thing on the transmission with wires attached. Before you R & R, pull the connector off the switch and "jump" the two conductors in the connector (key on). If the jumper causes the lamps to light (key on), the switch is the problem. If they don't light, check elsewhere. I believe the connector was 22 MM deep socket.
