Re:No Cruise??
When I start the truck I can turn the cruise on.

I can set the cruise and it will work. I can cancel and resume, as long as I dont turn it off. ???

Sound like I need 4 hrs. of diagnostic from the dealer, 1 hour of labor to install a $40 sensor. :'(

Re:No Cruise??
I have a 96 CTD 2500 and sometimes I have to press the cruise contol switch several times before it will stay on. I believe my problem is a switch problem. I removed the switch to clean the contacts but it is a sealed unit. I guess replacement is the alternative. So long as I can get the cruise working, I'll just keep pressing on that switch until it works no longer.

Anything in the steering wheel, IE: cruise, horn, airbag, is run through the "clockspring".

This was a recall, or at least a TSB was issued about it.
As the airbag is connected to it, it became a safety issue, otherwise I don't think DC would have addressed it.

Might want to look into that.

phox
