Is there a good location to purchase a new heater selector control ****? I have JB Weld the metal clip to the plastic a few times, that is only a temp fix, eventually this breaks too. Figure I would just replace the ****, just don't know if there is a preferred site to purchase from.

They are cheap from the dealer, or at least used to be. I found a Chrysler that used the same ****, can't remember the exact one, but it was mid to late 90's that had the same **** in the junkyard. It was from the full sized sedan, new yorker perhaps? I think the Intrepid also had the same one.

I replaced mine a couple times before I figured out to slip a tight fitting short piece of copper tubing over the plastic part that always cracked to strengthen it.
Problem solved for now for 14 years.

I used some braided fishing line and some epoxy and wrapped the fishing line around the cracked part and epoxied it. Got 3 years on that fix and all is still well.

A pick and pull type junk yard. The ***** are on a lot of vehicles.

It's an old thread but I might point out that at some point, 1995-1998 the heater control was changed from a Bowden cable operated system to an electrical rotary drive system so while the switch panel is the same the actual heater control switch is different.

97 for sure is cable, so I bet it changed in 98
