Driver side door hinge replacement
Is there a thread I can read or a video someone can share on replacing the upper hinge for the driver side door of my 2nd Gen 1997 Dodge?

Normally you will just need the pin and the bushings, they should be less than 10 US$ at autozone NAPA etc.
Usually I just open the door, support it so it does not sag and drive the old pin out towards the top with a punch.
Then I pull the door slightly outward to get the old bushings out and the new ones in and then I re-center the door and tap the new bolt in.
If you really need to replace the hinge you woll need to remove the front fender, unbolt all 6 bolts from the hinge and install the new one. (Or you can remove the door, then remove the hinge bolts behind the fender and re-install and re-adjust all that.. )

I dont mean to tell you anything you may already know.....but its strongly advised to NEVER start or shut off the engine in these trucks with the doors open. The engine shake is so violent that when the doors are open it will destroy the hinges and cause the doors to sag.
I have a very strict policy in my truck. The doors must be closed before I'll start the engine and the doors must remain closed before I'll shut it off.
