Decided to custom make a set of bumpers for my 97 2500. It started because my back bumper became Swiss cheese due to the rust. So after looking on line for bumpers, (Fusion, Iron Cross, Road Armor etc) I realized they were EXPENSIVE so decided to try to design and build them myself - with my son's help. Once I committed, I was in a get it done mindset.

I used a mix of 3/16" flat and diamond plated steel for the back. For the front, I used 1/4" flat steel for the winch plate and 3/16" steel for everything but the top diamond plate (1/4").

My son pushed me to include a light bar - which looks good and pushes out a ton of light.

It's 95% done now - going to have them powder coated in a couple of weeks after I get the grinder marks out with some DA sanding work. Wheels are getting done same color and same time (Satin Black 60% gloss)

The financial cost was considerably lower - probably have about $1600 in both (after powder coating) which includes the metal, the winch and all the lights.
