Ball joints
About a month ago, I stated having to redo the rotors on my 97 2500 4x4.
I have now gotten all the parts along with new upper&lower balljoints, tie rod ends, and stabilizer. My question is are my existing balljoints in wrong? The nut for the upper joints are outside the knuckle, and the lower joint is inside the knuckle. From all the pictures and video's, the nuts are reversed. I have the Dana 60 fro
nt axle. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

So cwetham's axle looks normal to me, and ColeRollington seems to have taken a picture of a 3rd gen axle.

Yours are correct. If you look, yours are pressed in the knuckle where the ones you have seen are pressed into the axle. Run your VIN and get all the info you can. I think this was a special design for something but cant remember right now(still on the first cup-o-brew).
