97' a/c comp. switch replacement?

hey guys, planning on replacing my heater core that is leaking, so while im in there im going to do the evap. core and drier at the same time, but i have noticed that the new driers do not come with the comp. switch. i guess i should be ok with just unthreading the old one off the old drier, or should i replace that as well? thanks for any input guys!

Wes

do a search it is possible to replace just the heater core, without removing the complete dash. as for the switch, it will switch right over. I've found they seem to be a common source for failure, in my case they seem to stick on causing the compressor to keep running which in turn freezes the evap core.
if your AC system is holding a charge, personally I would only replace the heater core, but check your evap core is not plugged up like mine was, mine has 511,000kms(320,000miles) on it with no issues, I just cleaned it and re-used it
