2nd gen overload spring stop bracket

Are the overload spring stop brackets welded, riveted, or bolted?
I'm trying to put them on my 1996 2500.
Thanks

It's either riveted or bolted.

Dont weld to the frame unless you have no other choice. Yes welding is stronger but unless the job is dont perfect the process will weaken the metal around the weld and potentially cause problems later. Drill and bolting if you can reach the back side is probably best. Then you can remove them if you want.
