2002 2500 Sport Quadcab HO 6sp 4x4 500+hp

Up for sale is my beloved single owner 2002 Dodge 2500 Sport Cummins Turbo Diesel Quadcab High Output 4x4 6sp pickup. Special ordered it new, maintained consistently, never wrecked or abused, clean Carfax, Colorado title is free and clear in hand. Vehicle is located in Gunnison, Colorado...but it is also frequently just North of Denver.

175k miles, typical wear and tear inside and out for its mileage including the dreaded 98-02 exterior paint lifting issue on the hood, roof, and front fenders. Mechanically the truck is as solid as an 02 gets and far stronger than most. Truck is typically tuned to 500 hp but can be bumped up with the Smarty Tuner closer to 600 hp. On the 500hp tune, truck averages 21 mpg empty, 16 mpg pulling an enclosed 32 ft race car trailer, 14 mpg w/car in trailer. I don't run the truck on a higher tune than 500hp as it's total overkill for pulling a trailer and smoking the crap out of traffic behind you. Living in Colorado, I constantly pull the 15k lb race trailer over the Continental Divide at 10,000+ ft running at 65 mph with EGTs in the 1150 degree range, hence what all the Aftermarket parts listed below are for. Truck has ALWAYS, ALWAYS been maintained for reliability......if you don't get to the track, you don't race.

-4 gauge amp power cables w/independent fused/relayed/keyed electrical circuit
-Dynamat sound proofing material applied to the cab floor and firewall under the carpet, also inside the front doors

I'm sure I'm missing additional items, but you get the point....the truck is wicked strong, well taken care of, has an incredible audio/visual entertainment system in it, and other than the exterior paint issue, a very sound and well modified 2500 CTD that hasn't been abused. It's never been on a dyno for bragging rights, it's never been to a drag race.....

Truck is maintained so that at any time it can travel cross-country with the race trailer to deliver the race car to a track. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it from Colorado to Florida to New York to Washington State to California and back home tomorrow.

Truck is registered in a non-emission County and I'd wager it wouldn't pass an emissions test with the +100hp VP44 and big injectors in it no matter what tune you ran on the Smarty. Take this into consideration if you need to register it in a County with required emissions testing.

Only reason for selling it is plans change in life....I'm 48, getting married, sold the race car, and simply no longer have a use for a beast of a truck like this. Not in a hurry to sell so keep your lowball offers to yourself. It would cost $15k+ to build this truck purely in aftermarket parts alone and another $3k in labor. I feel my asking price is more than fair given the maintenance history, it's a single owner, the aftermarket parts list, and overall condition of the truck.

Asking $17,900 as she sits w/Smarty Tuner included
