1997 Ram 3500 12 valve 5 speed 2wd 112,000 actual miles

As close as buying a new "1997 12 valve you can get".

This truck is a true time machine:

I bought this from a 75 year old former drag racer who only used it to pull his enclosed race car trailer with his early '60's Hemi Belvedere's inside.

He was a mopar fanatic & lived on Mopar Drive (yes he put in his own street !).

12 valve, pump turned up slightly, kdp tabbed, it still had the stock original 3" exhaust on it when I bought it. I installed a turbo back 4" system without a muffler. Stock air

filter & airbox.

Gets a real world 23 mpg empty, 12-15 towing heavy.

5 speed has had the 5th gear fix.

3.54 rears, I installed an OEM posi unit when I bought it.

Rear air bags with onboard air with compressor and adjustable from the dash.

Alcoa aluminum wheels with 6 new Firestone transforce tires installed when I bought it.

Front airlift (inside the springs)airbags fill manually from the valve located on the front bumper.

Prodigy brake controller. Weather-tech mats front & rear.

Mint Leather interior, geno's cup holder. Hinged rear tonneau cover, bedliner & mat, bed rail caps on perfect bed rails..........not hiding anything.

Body was all original paint except the tailgate when I bought it. He had removed the ugly stainless west coast style mirrors & installed 3rd gen flip out towing mirrors...........hence the plugs in the doors where the mirrors originally mounted. (I couldn't bring myself to drill out the nutzerts and weld the holes shut & paint on all original paint doors).

The truck had those ugly fiberglass fender flares/running board combo's that were popular back then, I took them off & they had put them on with self tapping screws, so I welded every hole shut & had the bottom painted in the factory silver. Hated to paint on an original paint truck, but hated the old man flares more !

I recently moved from Ohio to Florida & bought this to pull my enclosed trailer with my belongings down here,

I have made 6 trips back & forth since purchasing the truck & put probably 14,000 miles on it in the past 6 months.

I'm done moving now & don't need a dually anymore, so it's for sale.

If it was 4x4 it should be another 10K & have an auto trans & I wouldn't ever sell it. I have another 2nd gen ex cab 2wd that's just a good old mule that was my old service truck I'm keeping it for general use while I get my cabin built. I just don't need a dually anymore & I'm tired of shifting & paying insurance on 2 diesel trucks !

It really runs & drives like a new truck..........not a squeak or rattle anywhere.
