removing long box from truck

removing long box from truck
How many bolts are there , I counted 6 but it was getting dark and couldn't see , any tips for removing the box ??

Once the bolts are removed, two long four by fours strapped to the stake pockets can be picked up by a few friends. I have the benefit of a lift, and used that once or twice.

Remove the bolts, disconnect fuel tank fill and tailights, etc and lift it off. No big deal.

Service manual shows 6 bolts.

There is a metal ground wire on the passenger front of the bed as well.

Check for some smaller bolts and nuts that bolt through the frame toward the very rear of the bed.

Hm I remember 8 on mine. Then the spare tire winch shaft was in the way.

just did mine.....4 in front of the axle, 4 behind......the ground strap, the filler and over flow, and I took the tail lights out.
