Removing exhaust manifold, advice please

I'm about to attempt a temporary fix on my cracked 53 block with marine tex epoxy. Limited funds at the moment, please don't hate. Its worth a try. I think I will need to pull the turbo, possibly the exhaust manifold, possibly the fender to gain enough access to the crack to grind it out. Looking for advice on how to avoid damaging the bolts, any tips on making the job easier, etc. Should I soak the bolts? Warm motor or cold? Thanks.

Gently with an impact gun, don't start with it on kill, start gently. Always worked for me.
