Pulling
Hello new to the site.
Just bought a 99 24 valve Cummings with 120km on it.. I was wondering if someone can tell me how much it will be able to pull?
I have a 24' 5th wheel camper.. have not pulled yet. Just wondering what should i be expecting ?
thanks

you should have absolutely no problem. once when I had a 93 ram 12 valve 3/4 ton I pulled a gooseneck that had a mini excavator on it and when I went through a scale the (truck and trailer with excavator on it) , the total weight was around 35,000. I thought the back leaf springs were gonna explode, but it did fine. I now have a 99 24 valve and it has twice the power, so the only concern for me would be if your truck is a manual or an automatic. The automatics aren't the best when stock.

As mentioned, you'll be surprised how well it pulls. But as also mentioned, the tranny you have is important. The auto's need all the help they can get. Fill out your signature so everyone knows what you have.

With a good transmission, and some gauges these trucks will pull well over the weight rating or what's legal. The only issue I have ever had is slowing the load down. Keep good tabs on your trailer brakes..
