p1690, How to fix it!

The injection pump was replaced on my 01 HO before I bought it 2 weeks ago. So here is whats going on, it seems to be very low on power after 1500rpms. I know what the code means, and the cam sensor is fine. I heard that the pump being out of time can cause this code. I'm looking for any and all ways to fix this problem. So come on guys let rip, I don't care if I get 100 replies, I'm gonna fix this myself, no way its going to the dealership!

Also, if you have to pull the pump, make sure the number on the key matches the number on the pump, and is installed the correct way.

( Assuming someone didn't put a SO pump on a HO engine )
