I started the truck and drove about 6 miles and when I came to stop sign it reved to about 1000 rpms 2 or 3 times and shut off. Check engine light was on but it restarted and did the same thing. Again it restarted and when I would give it throttle it would only go to about 1000 rpms and no more. I was able to limp home where I unhooked the negative terminals on both batteries for about an hour. Started truck and drove three hours to work where I was able to access my scanner and got code# P1689 No Communication Electronic Control Module and Pump Module. Could someone put that in English for me please. I have a FASS Platnium and a Industrial Injection VP on it with only about 15,000 miles.

it gets worse
Now when I put my scanner on it the map sensor is reading 75.0. That is with the engine off and power on. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

The last time I had that code it turned out to be the injection pump. If the injection pump power and ground is ok, no wiring problems are found and fuel supply is ok replace the injection pump.
Load test power and ground to the injection pump with a headlight bulb to load the circuit. Bulb should be as bright as connected directly to battery. If not replace the injection pump relay in the PDC or swap with another relay and retest. Connect headlight bulb across Pin #6 and #7 on 9 way connector only at injection pump.
