Less than 1500 miles on a rebuilt H.O. VP44 and got "THE CODE" This truck is gonna be the end of ME! Had to replace the cam gear, then the APPS and now this, all in less than 1500 miles. It can drive a man to drinking!

What have you done to supply the VP???? Where did you get the rebuilt VP?
Do you ever add a lubricity addative to your fuel?

VP was replaced before I bought it, it came from a reputable injection specialist shop. The shop that replaced it said they checked the lift pump when the VP was replaced and a 2nd time when I brought it back, due to lack of power. I usually add Howes or Lucas fuel additives. I bought it back in September and its spent most of the time in my garage or at the shop with the hood up.

What are you going to do with it?

That is a drag.
Before you black out you will want to address the fuel supply side of the vp. 3/8" or 1/2" supply from a reputable aftermarket pump mounted near the tank. A Fuel pressure gauge so you can see your fp at all times and for a little extra insurance run a big line kit from the filter to the vp supply.
Keep fuel pressure above 10 psi at all times for good performance and hopefully longevity...

Well I got the pump off, so now to the shop to have it tested. It should be a warrantied replacement. I'm gonna replace the lift pump since its easy to get to now. I'd do the big line kit if I new what fittings I need, so if anybody knows, please tell me.
