Lost power to mirror, radio and interior lights

2000 Dodge Ram 2500 as my husband was adjusting his driver's side mirror, he suddenly lost power to both mirrors, the radio and the interior lights. He checked the fuses and they seemed fine....any ideas? Trying not to overpay the dealer for the problem when it seems like its something simply.

Check the correct fuse(s) in the underhood PDC and the driver's side dash fusebox; all of the switches and relays are labeled and replace with a known good fuse, unless he has a meter to check them with (the open is not always visible).

Start tracing the wiring for voltage; begin at the fuse out terminal for the circuit and confirm that voltage is present at the wire's next connection, etc.

It IS something simple, since it affected all of those circuits at once...

I believe the fuse for that is the one with a black cover on it (interior fuse panel)... Took me a while to find it when I shorted my interior light. The black cover made me think the truck would self destruct if I pulled it, but it was the culprit.

check the fuseable links from the battery. feel them with your fingers and if any feel spongy cut it out and either replace with another one or an in line fuse of the correct amperage and gauge of wire. I did that with a 1984 W250 and lost all of the interior lights and headlights.

The IOD fuse......should be #12 in the fuse panel on the side of the dash.

Are you sure that your IOD fuse (behind the black cover ) is OK and gets power?

The illum fuse gets it's power from the IOD fuse.
