Or you could just move out of the highly socialistic southern California. No wonder you didn't pass smog. Sure its pretty down there but once northern CA water dries up you guys are in a world of hurt. And most smog shops down in liberal CA are busy smogging Corolla's or Prius's.....not trucks like yours. The second you drove up they probably knew you were going to hand them $50 for nothing. The two times I've had the state steal my money for a stupid diesel smog check, I didn't even have to remove the EZ.
Its an unfortunate misnomer that the entire state of CA is liberal. Matter of fact the only portion of the state which dominates blue is most of Sacramento, all of San Fransisco, the Los Angeles area and most of the coast line up to SF. Other than that, the rest of the state is red and very against the liberal control. Come up here to the beautiful north and you'll see green flags for the State of Jefferson all over the place. Its on the ballot and we're all anxiously waiting to see what happens. Oh and yes, we also have things like cable and internet up here.....

Yeah, the chart was up in the paper over the weekend. I'm sure you guys would welcome a separation from us down here. Huge welfare drag on tax revenue and a lot of disincentives to work anymore. Make a little too much and you get stung with Obamacare premiums, taxes etc. There's definitely a war on productivity and wealth in this country, especially in the last 6 ys.

Its unfortunate that CA is getting the bad reputation it is..... Its really a lovely state with so many advantages. But its just getting so bad. With legislation going broke and so many social programs, they cant think of enough ways to increase revenue.

Finally! Seriously, moving to AZ, ID, UT, or NV has been a consideration of mine as well.

San Clemente is pretty nice though. What nails me is the lack of humidity once you leave the coast around here.
We're heading to southern Ut soon and I'm bracing myself for midteen humidity.

From a transplant to Idaho .... we just did our '06 2500, and my '08 3500 will be this weekend
For my '06 ......
Emissions test: $10
Registration: $85 for one year on normal plates.
Specialized (DoD, hunter, etc.) is a bit more as they have their own prices.
