Dead pedal.......sometimes
My 2000 DODGE HAS A DEAD PEDAL AND THEN GOES AWAY AND RUNS FINE. I CHANGED THE APPS ABOUT 20K MILES AGO AND THE VP44 HAS 100K ON IT. ONLY CODE P1693 AND LIFT PUMP HAS 15PSI AT IDLE WITH NO BIG DROP WHEN DRIVING. MOTOR SOUNDS LIKE THE ITS LOUDER THAN USUAL. WHAT SHOULD I BE CHASING HERE? THANKS!

start with turning your caps lock off..its like yelling at people..rude.
after that..how are you fuel lines? you might be getting air in the lines
its also possible the VP is dying.
have you/can you take a volt meter to the apps and measure the output?
an older analog meter works better..is the out smooth?

Thanks for the reply. Was just about to call Blue Chip up and order a pump. I changed the APPS sensor about 10k miles ago. I did the re-set on the APPS and nothing. When I have the dead pedal, if I put the trunk in PARK and rev the motor it goes to 2k RPM and will puff out some grayish smoke from the tail pipe. Very sluggish. Then if I drive it up the road it is very sluggish then she takes off and drive fine. I have about 100k on this VP44. Bad thing is I don't get any codes except the p1693.

Yeah Kurt. Lines are good. Filter changed regularly. RF filter installed for APPS. Grounds cleaned. Keep good maintenance up on her. Just wish it threw a code so something would make since.

I had a Similiar issue.....run fine on the hwy and the all of a sudden cut out. I did all the above but honestly believe it was the electronic board on the VP. After replacing, the issue went away.

Bit the bullet and called Blue Chip. Doug was very helpful and said it sounds like the VP44 going bad. Ordered a Premium upgrade 15x pump and 150 Airdog lift pump. Should be here Tuesday so will put it on that weekend. Will keep y'all up to date on what I find. Thanks for the replys!

Well, changed out the vp44 and put a AIRDOG 150 lift pump on with the big line kit. Runs good as new. Thanks for all the reply's and your help. By the way, the people at BLUE CHIP are top notch! Spent the extra money and got their premium upgraded pump. Thanks again!
