add this to your list to check.
The oil pan bolts loosen up on these trucks. usually once a year I will go along and check. This can cause some leakage. usually this will put oil on the back side of pan due to wind and driving.

I ended up putting a dab of lock-tite on my bolts the last time i found them loose.

I agree with others. get in there and clean everything off and drive and check to see what is going on.

Yea, they say it was fixed, but we had documented, 1 owner report of it striking, complete with repair documentation...... So they do strike 24 valves as well.

My personal story........

I had an 01 24v. I removed that catch bottle and ran a hose with a breather on it down along the frame rail. Then used about a gallon of simple green under the hood and cleaned up under there real nice. No more burnt oil smell or oil all over the place.
Easy check for blow by, with it idling and up to operating temp, remove your oil cap. If you see a bunch of smoke, problem. Just a little bit of haze is normal.

No more smoke than normal but it could puke out a little oil as the timing gears flung it up around the vent hole if you overfilled it by a lot.

Although some oil brands tend to stink more upon the first few hundred miles or so after an oil change. I hear Delo stinks bad.

Not necessarily. Mine I never knew a thing had happened until I saw the godawful pool of oil ( Blew out a big chunk of the case )

Im gonna try and get the video uploaded here in a few ill put the link on a post!!

I had a injection pump installed, do you have to take the vacuum pump out to do that? And couldthe oil possibly be coming from the case where the injector pump mounts to it? Because i really think right after i had it done is when i started noticing the oil!
