I'm confused on the let out clutch part and vehicle "REVS UP" . how is your idle after replacing these parts. do you feel the throttle response is slower or faster since the apps was replaced. All of my clutches that went bad. Stock, SB-Con FE, they both made my truck blow alot of black smoke when getting on throttle , Rpm's shot up and speedo went down. it was a instant feeling and instantly showed on gauges. it didn't hesitate. right around the 1900rpms range using 3rd, or 4th.
The APPS wasn't from Timbo, it was from Ebay lol, and suposedly it was calibrated from "factory".... i did the memory recording thing when pressing the pedal slowly to the the bottom and back with the switch open, i didnt notice any difference at idle after the installation...

Double disc simply gives you 2 discs so they can be slipped more before destruction. It is a way to get more surface area to grab.

Pullers sometimes use 3 and 4 disc slipper clutches, but those aren't what you would want for the street ( and they are bloody expensive ).

Unless you are going to get stupid, a good South Bend will suit you just fine, but rather than listen to any of us, give the man who builds them ( Peter ) a call, be very honest about what you have, what you do, and what you intend to do in the future and ask for his advice.

I have a DD3250 waiting to go in when I kill mine, I will never need that much clutch, but Lary gave me such a screaming deal, I couldn't wait till I needed one.

That, and I only ever want to have to haul that heavy thing out once........
