01 fuel supply line
I posted a while back about the boss' 24 valve eating the fuel supply line to the IP, namely it was breaking off the banjo fitting at the IP end. We cut the steel line and ran rubber between the ends, and found out recently why we had to. The dealer who put the pump in didn't bolt it in. It was hanging by the timing gear.
It died again about a month ago.
The shop is going to have to pull the timing cover and see what condition it's in.
They got it running and found the converter isn't unlocking at idle. Which could be why it takes a lot of throttle to get it moving. Thought it could be the BD exhaust brake, but they took it out of the line, and no go.

Nice work.
I was taught to complete the job, then go back and recheck everything I messed with....
This could have saved some down time which = money.
I know the site gets supported by Dodge/Chrysler/Ram, but the dealerships mechanics need to resurrect their rep's as far as I am concerned.....

It's at a diesel shop this time. Needless to say with the converter issue the trans is just about toast, too.
And they're not mechanics anymore. They're technicians. Which means they do what the computer tells them to do, even if it's wrong.
