Replaced the faston (fall off) connectors on the FSS with ring tongue terminals. Replaced the loose faston connector on the KSB while I was at it. Now maybe I won't have to open the hood and wiggle wires to get going now.

Will be checking out the underwood areas for probable rodent damage since I've been away from this truck for a month now. Being parked out in the forest you never know. Glad I disco'd them battery. Didn't think I was going to be gone a month

The rodents can be fun. There's been a piney squirrel raiding the bird feeder off and on. Pulled out 5 pieces of 2" irrigation pipes yesterday, and got a pretty good pile of sunflower seeds when flushed them.

I screwed up my fuel and rear brake lines.
Actually I bolted them back in place after my cross member swap and paint job

Mounted up an HE300VG turbo to a 1991.0 Non I/C cummins engine. Took a couple hours. Very close to the air box but made sure it won't hit even with motor torquing/shaking in fwd or reverse.

I went to pick and pull and picked up a reverse rotation steering box and bracket. It was too easy. The truck had the front sheet metal cut off so all it did was stand there unbolting the parts.
Thanks Nick for posting the link to the truck.

Drivers side door got caught by a strong wind last winter and tore the lower hinge about half way out of the door. Today I took that door off the truck, removed the 2 1/4" by 2 1/2" gusset plate and made one closer to 4" x 5". then I beat the skin of the door back to about where it should be and put it back in. It pulled into shape real nice and aligned perfectly. Got dark so I'll put the speaker and inside trim back in tomorrow.

Finally finished the steering box bracing job... Made with 1/4 plate ane 1" 1/4 wall Dom drilled out to 9/16; happy so far, seems to steer a little better. Hard as all get out to do with engine in place and body on.

Also started building my homemade two stage rear suspension (you can see in the thread I just started)

Today was spring service time. Air/oil/fuel filters and oil change, and grease the truck.

Also got a low mileage head from a 95/96 Ford F700 truck...supposed to be about 25K km's. Truck was an insurance write off and parted out, and my friend got most of the engine parts for the P-Pump motor. It had been sitting for a few years, I bartered for it.

Fresh after delivery...These heads are definitely a 2 man job to carry!

The underside looked worse then it was. A little bit of time spent with a wire brush and then some 120 grit sand paper cleaned it up nicely.

I really like the air intake set-up. It is a grid heater delete spacer and a 3" air inlet horn!

Thinking of adding the grid heater delete to the crewcab from around April to Sept, then swap the grid heaters back on for the cooler seasons.

Last week I holed up in the shop for 4 days straight for spring service time as well.
I had a Dodge friend in town and we just wrenched on Dodges and talked Cummins for 4 days.
The white crew needed, rear brake work, Injection pump re-seal with a 366 spring thrown in at the same time. It also got a junkyard steering box and steering stem.
The black crew needed a little wiring work, but after the winter of 2013/14, where I did a ton of work to it, it was in good shape.
My '95 12V 2nd gen tow rig needed e-brakes cables and e-brake bracket in the truck, trailer brake controller issues where solved, new LP, fuel lines, and fuel filters…..whoops 1st gen tread!
Then my '80 Ramcharger had NO lights in the rear so a bunch of dash wires where chased down and a new headlight switch got that good to go.
Once it warms up enough to take them for a good ride to warm up the oils, oil swaps will begin.
I already bought the 12 gallons of Rotella 15W-40 for the 6 BTS and 12qt of Mobil 5 W-30 for my Getrags.
I also got to drive the white crew for the first time in 4 months.
