Not that I know of. From what I understand what ever there is out there are mainly slugs made offshore and turned in the US

Seeing your here in the PNW try calling south Southside Brake and Cutch in Tacoma. They have been around forever.

Years ago I asked that question of the shop that was working on my 1991 Astro front brakes. The American rotors literally had inclusion pockets that corroded out and left it looking like Swiss cheese.

At that time, domestic and Chinese rotors were available. He said the Chinese were fine as long as you put them on the lathe and trued them up. Usually off by a coupla thou. Half the American rotors available, luck of the draw, had the same metallurgical defect the originals had.

Thanks guys. I've heard good things about brakeperformance as well but I'll avoid drilled / slotted for the W250. Their premium rotors (non-drilled) look to be a good value.

I found that quad4x4 has claimed Made in USA / Canada rotors for $60. Google it.

OT, but I know that the Bendix aftermarket rotors are very good quality (PN PRT1469). Rock Auto has them for $37.79 each but wants $41.76 to ship them. Made in China I'm sure but Bendix QA is pretty trustworthy from my experience.

Back when I owned the parts store ( circa 2000 ), Raybestos rotors were either Chinese or Canadian, by FAR the Canadian rotors were superior.

I would have no qualms at all about made in Canada rotors.

Just curious as to why you would avoid the drilled/slotted rotors.
Once I put them on my 91, I never warped another rotor. So far no problem with OEM on my 92.

Question

Resurrecting an old thread.

1) What is involved in getting the old rotor off of and the new rotor onto the hub?
2) X-Lock brand fasteners -- do those who have used them recommend them for the front of our trucks?

TIA.
