Turn signal issues (90) question
I get turn/brake light power to the left side, but not to the right side.
I've even checked for power in the loom under the spare tire; nothing.
Checked for power in front of the left side / right side split on the driver's side; nothing.
Is it possible that it's a turn signal problem in the steering column?
I looked for a wiring diagram here on the forum but can only find 91.5 and I don't know if they're the same.
Any help would be appreciated.

I dought its the turn signal switch you have no tail light on that side .are you using a test light? it might be in the fire wall bulk head. check if you have power at the wires comeing out the bulk head but if you have tail light on one side and not the other recheck in the back ,tail lights on mine split in the rear up on the frame by the RWAL .or you could have more then 1 issue like a bad flasher/flasher switch /head light switch /bad wire.

Thanks guys.
And, rebal you know it's the turn/brake not tail lights, right?
But, I am gonna check that bulkhead connection. Good call.

Everything works on the left side; tail-lights and brake lights/turn signals, so it's not the flasher or brake pedal switch. There's just no brake/turn power getting to the right side. Right side tail light is fine, so it's not a ground either. I've probed all the wires with a test light and nothing. I guess I'll try the cowl bulkhead tomorrow and see if I have power there. I'm guessing a wire is broken along the frame somewhere?

If you have turn signals and brake lights on the left, but not on the right then it's either a body wiring issue, or more then likely the turn signal switch is done.
This has been an issue with Ma' Mopars turn signal switches since the early 60's. Since all the brake, turn and running lights were run through the turn signal switch. When the switches get old the plastic will start to curl a bit and you will loose certain functions of the taillights. I had this problem many yeas ago with a 68 Coronet convertible I restored. Took me many weeks of hair pulling to finally figure it out.

hey-Hey!!!,
had this same issue on my first 1991. It was the wire itself; the Cu had turned to red dust for several feet up the bed. I took the tail light contact out, soldered in a new bit of wire and ran this new wire up to where the stuff was all good Cu. Took me several feet to get there.
cheers,
Douglas

thrashingcows, that's exactly what I thought. I was pretty sure the brake lights needed to run through the turn signal switch, but everyone around the shop was telling me I was crazy. But, the two rear lights have to split there or you'll have both rear lights flashing for left and right.
But, good news. I found good power at the bulkhead connection so I just used a blue 3m connector and ran a new 16g wire to the rear. I need to put in a new socket tomorrow. I have a Camaro "parts car" that I stole a dual filament socket from that I hope will fit in my taillights.
Thanks

Thanks I'll keep that in mind.
I can't believe it, but GM and Mopar use the same size socket with the tabs in the same place, so the Camaro socket worked.
What's next; everyone using the same wheel bolt pattern?
Nah, we wouldn't want that.
